Carpet Python enclosure setup
Adults need a large enclosure at least 4x2x2 feet (120x60x60 cm) but taller is better given their climbing — add sturdy branches. Provide a warm side of 88-92°F (31-33°C), a cool side of 78-82°F (26-28°C), and a night drop to 75°F (24°C). Humidity 50-70% with a water bowl and humid hide. UVB is optional but a low light is fine. A lockable, escape-proof lid is mandatory.
Common mistakes with Carpet Pythons
Key errors: a floor-only tank with no climbing (they are semi-arboreal), humidity too low (shed problems), live feeding, and under-estimating an adult's strength when handling.
