Companions, milk and honesty about noise

Goats are herd animals — one goat is a loud, lonely goat; keep at least two. Does in milk need twice-daily milking at fixed times for the lactation's duration: the schedule is the commitment. Horns, headbutting and standing on your car are normal goat behavior, not bad training. And bucks (intact males) smell strongly, especially in rut — most hobby keepers do wethers (neutered males) and does. If you want a pet experience without the perfume, that is the classic pairing.
