Quick answer: White Crested is a variety of guinea pigs. Everything on this page is guinea pigs-level guidance — we do not invent variety-specific numbers.

The care below is guinea pigs-level guidance from our species hub, sourced to Merck Veterinary Manual — Guinea Pigs and House Rabbit Society / RSPCA — Guinea pig care. Housing and company

Minimum one large indoor enclosure (≈0.7 m² per pig, more is better) with hides, and — ideally — a same-sex companion. Introductions take patience; bonded pairs are calmer and healthier than singles.

Diet: the hay pyramid

Unlimited grass hay (timothy for adults), a cup-ish of varied leafy greens per pig per day, a small measured pellet portion, and vitamin C via fresh veg (bell pepper, parsley) or a supplement. No seed-and-grain mixes — they're the rabbit-muesli problem again.
